Resident Evil 4 plot revealed!

Do you like what you’re reading? No? Neither do I…

We’ve got word that Screen Gems released the synopsis for Milla Jovovich and her director-husband Paul WS Anderson’s next Resident Evil douchebaggery.

In a world ravaged by a virus infection, turning its victims into the Undead, Alice continues on her journey to find survivors and lead them to safety. Her deadly battle with the Umbrella Corporation reaches new heights, but Alice gets some unexpected help from an old friend. A new lead that promises a safe haven from the Undead leads them to Los Angeles, but when they arrive the city is overrun by thousands of Undead and Alice and her comrades are about to step into a deadly trap.

Resident Evil: Afterlife is scheduled for release on August 27, 2010.

Unfortunately, the movie franchise wrecked Resident Evil’s true nature. The zombies, the adrenaline-pumping fear, and the puzzles were ones thar defined the franchise. It was also Jill, Chris, Leon, Claire and the rest of the RE characters that brought this game to life. And where are they now? Hidden beneath the shadow of a Mary Sue called Alice.

Personally, I just hope this fourth sequel wraps everything up for the movie franchise. We can all forget that RE movies ever existed, and that a reboot is in order… a reboot worthy of being truly part of the Resident Evil family.

Another Kyoto Animation Troll? HELL YES!

With the end of the second season of Suzumiya Haruhi, which Kyo-Ani energetically called a re-run, fans were in shock to not see Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya arc in the whole season. Yes! I was one of the many people who were promised with Disappearance this season! Moe Yuki do want! Kyoto Animation then proudly proclaimed in this issue of Newtype magazine that they would be animating Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya as a theatrical movie to be released by 2010.

DAMN IT KYO-ANI! RAGE!

So for all those left hanging behind the dust, we all have to wait a year or less for the best arc so far (by count of majority).

More Hollywood Crap Turns Popular Game to “Popular SHAME”

There’s a low-budget production brewing in the streets of Hollywood, and it’s the film adaptation of the well-known King of Fighters.

From the videos above, the only actress I know is Maggie Q for the role of… MAI SHIRANUI! Oh great, we’ve got an old lady with boobs 1/2 the size of the real Mai Shiranui, plus she isn’t scantily clad (though I wouldn’t want to see her scantily clad anyway). I don’t know from what godforsaken corner of an alleyway did the casting team pick up these actors, but they all look like trash. Heck, look at Terry Bogard! The Terry we know in game is at his 20’s or 30’s tops. That guy looks like he’s approaching late forties, and looks like some nutcase off a mental institution. And why does Kyo Kusanagi have short hair? Where’s Iori when you need him? Or K’ too? No wait… it’s better for them not to show up and have their namesakes and character defiled by this shitty movie.

It’s a wonder what’s going through the minds of the people in SNK Playmore.

It doesn’t feel like I want to “play more” of the KoF franchise anymore. More so, watch this crap.

Did you know? About the Castlevania movie

Yes, Castlevania the movie is coming to fruition in the hands of James Wan.

James Wan is the co-creator of the Saw franchise. With him writing and directing Castlevania, we’re sure to see a claustrophobic hit, definitely with more focus on the castle interior apart from Dracula and the monstrosities.

Paul WS Anderson was the first to hold the movie’s directorship in 2005. Shooting was supposed to start on 2006, however it was stalled. Anderson passed the lead to Sylvain White. The previous director was instead producing the film. Shooting should’ve started last Spring 2008 but was once again stalled.

Eventually, the writing and directing job was passed to James Wan. August 2009 declared Castlevania to be in pre pre-production.

News and picture credits also go to: Bloody Disgusting

To be honest, if the Castlevania film gets the Saw treatment, I would be very much excited. The claustrophobic horror brought about by the Saw franchise was its main selling point. Passing this “Saw effect” to Castlevania would definitely give emphasis on the game’s focus, the Castle of Count Dracula. Simon and Dracula’s story was actually secondary compared to the bone-chilling adventures in the castle itself. I’m hoping this time, Castlevania won’t be stalled, and we’ll see James Wan until the movie finishes.

Did you know? About the Tekken live action movie

Here’s something not a lot of people have heard of.

Yes, there will be a Tekken live action movie. And no, I haven’t seen any trailers of this movie yet. This poster is the only teaser we have about the movie.

According to the Crystal Sky Productions website, Tekken is set in the year 2039 and revolves around the story of Jin Kazama avenging his mother’s death and blaming it on Heihachi Mishima. There’s this assumption that the movie takes place between the events of Tekken 2 and Tekken 3, game-wise

We’re seeing almost every character in the game come to life. According to IMDb, our usual Tekken favorites like Bryan Fury, Eddy Gordo, Marshall Law, the Williams sisters, and even Sergei Dragunov would be making an appearance.

I have yet to see any trailer, so there’s nothing to assume or judge or speculate. This teaser site reveals nothing but a 2009 release year.

Speculations state that Tekken would be out on October 2009.

It’s disappointing to see such a potential gemstone to go to waste if there’s no hype to revel at. I don’t know if Crystal Sky can pull this off and make it a blockbuster hit. Let’s hope that the story is well-meshed, the acting is sufficient, and the action is worthy of the Tekken praise. Pray that it won’t end up like the Chun-Li movie or any of Uwe Boll’s floptastic flicks.
