On the 49th Japan Model Hobby Show, Bandai has unveiled their newest edition of Macross Frontier’s VF-27 model. The model is completely transformable to all three modes (Fighter mode, Gerwalk mode, and Batroid mode). The darker, more metallic and semi-battered paint job on the VF-27 makes it look like it just came from combat which adds more allure to it for the manly toy collectors.

Other gimmicks in this model is its beam-gunpod which can reproduce those flashy effects from the anime. But what really sold this work of art for me is its cockpit. They managed to recreate the cockpit design complete with a miniature Ranka Lee and Brera Sterne mini model.

Bandai has already said that the model will be available to the public by November 2009. But for those wou want first dibs, they can be pre-ordered at Happinet Online for 4,300 yen.

New Tales games out soon

Another one for the Tales series, and it has that much potential to shine brighter than Vesperia. Called Tales of Graces, the game will be released on December 10th for the Nintendo Wii. Judging from the three trailers above, we’re seeing impressive graphics coming from a Wii game. And that’s in comparison with the XBox 360 Vesperia game. Whether it outsells Vesperia or any other Tales game is yet to be seen.

Tales of Graces is said to be the “longest Tales games to date,” packing over 70 hours of gameplay. Popular seiyuu are once again employed to provide fabulous voice-overs for the characters; one of which is Takahiro Sakurai, who also voiced Sasori in Naruto: Shippuuden and Kururugi Suzaku of Code Geass R2.

What’s more interesting is knowing how many gamers would opt to buy the Tales game, since Final Fantasy XIII would be released a week after. Then again, it may be moot since they’re from two different consoles anyway.
